Taapsee to turn shooter by February 2019

2018 has been a great year for actress Taapsee Pannu. Having delivered hits like Soorma, Manmarziyaan, and Mulk, the actress will next be seen as a shooter in Womaniya.

While Taapsee has already started her prep work for the project, the film will start rolling by February 2019.

“Taapsee has been undergoing training for this project and the maker of the film wanted to shoot the film during the peak of winter. Hence the film will go on floors by next month in a village in Uttar Pradesh,” a source said.

The makers might also collaborate with an international makeup artist for the prosthetics as the actress will be required to play a 60-year-old in certain portions as the story is told in flashback.

Inspired by the life of real-life shooters, Prakashi and Chandro Tomar, senior citizens, the film is set in the backdrop of rural India. Produced by Anurag Kashyap along with Shibashish Sarkar and Nidhi Parmar, Womaniya is directed by writer Tushar Hiranandani.
