Varun and Arjun to play brothers in Karan Johar's next film?
Karan Johar is highly likely to produce a film set in the partition era with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in it.
Mumbai: The bonding between Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor was recently seen as they walked the ramp together at the Lakme Fashion Week and even on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee with Karan'.
The trio of Varun-Arjun-Karan could reunite, this time on a film.
Karan Johar is highly likely to produce a film set in the partition era with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in it.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, director of ‘2 States’, Abhishek Varman, had approached Johar about two years back with his partition drama script which the filmmaker wasn’t too happy about and advised Varman to make changes in it.
Now that the script is almost ready, casting for the film is underway and Varun and Arjun are front runners to play lead roles. They are rumoured to play brothers in the film.
While Abhishek chose to stay mum on this topic, a source close to this development told Mumbai Mirror, “He is fine-tuning the script at the moment and will be presenting the final draft to Karan in a week’s time. Casting is underway. Contrary to rumours, the film is not on the backburner now. Karan didn’t want to go ahead without the perfect script but things seem to be working out now. The film is expected to go on the floors in the coming months.”
So, was Varun and Arjun's enviable bromance on KWK a PR stunt of some sorts? Like introducing them as ‘brothers’ so that the audience gets used to their camaraderie before the film goes on the floors? May be, may be not!
