SRK, Kangy with SLB?
Sanjay Leela Bhansali could pull a massive coup with his next. The director could get SRK and Kangana Ranaut to star together in a period film.
The latest buzz in tinseltown is about a rather interesting casting coup that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is set to pull off. The ace director could be planning to cast Shah Rukh Khan and Kangana Ranaut in a period film. And while the aforementioned stars are silent at the moment about any such development, SRK reportedly did admit to his friends recently, that he was in talks with Bhansali for a movie.
We had recently revealed that Bhansali and SRK had a long meeting, and that the actor has been keen to do some quality movies, after his last ones — Raees and Jab Harry Met Sejal — did not meet expectations. While he’s now working with Kangana’s favourite director, Aanand L. Rai at the moment, it will be interesting to see if the actress, known for her indulgence in scripts, will step into Bhansali’s territory.
The maverick filmmaker is one of the few in the film industry, who prefers to master just about every department of moviemaking. “If Kangana agrees to do the film, she would like to know everything about the script and her role,” says a source. “And Shah Rukh too has been happy to let the women take the limelight, apart from the top billing. SRK will not have a problem if the movie is made the way Bhansali likes it.”
So far, SRK has only been seen in one Bhansali movie — Devdas.
