I don't want to make that bee famous: Ranveer's arcane tweets a dig at Deepika?

Mumbai: While the pair of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is yet to attain the status of Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha or Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol in terms of most loved on-screen couples in Bollywood, there's no doubt that the pairing enjoys a substantial fan base.

However, despite two successes in a row together, four years of alleged relationship, and immense love from fans who feel they share a fiery chemistry, troubles in Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's relationship surface sporadically.

The couple had shut down previous reports of a break-up by being snapped indulging in PDA at a restaurant few weeks ago.

However, this time there seems some serious trouble in paradise for the couple and it revolves around their upcoming film ‘Padmavati.’

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial could easily down in history as one of the most controversial films of all time, courtesy opposition from Rajput groups and so-called ‘rivalry’ between the heroes Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer.

The most recent controversy being the mysterious solo appearance of Deepika at the 3D trailer launch of the film on October 31, the first major promotional event associated with the movie.

While Deepika plays the titular character of Rani Padmavati and she perhaps can hog a bit of the limelight, tongues had started wagging over the absence of the two leads.

And now the mystery has finally been revealed and there's no doubt that things are getting ugly.

According to a report in DNA, Deepika made a surprise appearance at the event, leaving her heroes furious, following which her 'shocked' boyfriend Ranveer took out his anger with cryptic tweets.

The report said that the media invite for the event had not mentioned the names of any of the three actors. A source told the daily, “Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid Kapoor’s names were missing from the invite. In fact, the stars’ respective teams were also informed that the talent was not required for the event at all."

However, the actress sprung a surprise appearance at the event, naturally to the dismay of her co-stars.

The source said, “DP was never supposed to attend the launch. That was what was conveyed to everyone else. But she sprung an unpleasant surprise when she chose to attend the event alone. She didn’t even bother informing her two co-actors, Shahid or Ranveer. What irritated the leading men, apparently, was the fact that neither of them had expressed unavailability. Shahid was home, while Ranveer was playing football. If they were informed in time, they would have also made it to the event.”

While Deepika might have made headlines when the first look had been released, Ranveer stole the show when his look was released, and once the trailer released, there was no doubt who walked away with all the applause.

The source says, “The trailer has released and Ranveer has walked away with all the compliments. People have spoken well about Shahid, too. But there has hardly been any chatter about Deepika. Even her Ghoomar song has not helped create any intrigue or interest about her character. The film is named after Deepika’s character, so she did this only to prove a point and take centre stage, which was completely wrong on her part.”

The source added, “Ranveer was shocked. Forget Shahid because Deepika and he are just co-stars, how could she do this to her own boyfriend? This left Ranveer fuming, who also fired the team for doing this. He and Deepika aren’t really talking anymore post this.’’

Unlike Shahid, who didn’t even tweet about 3D trailer, Ranveer did rave about it, but his seemingly innocuous tweets about a ‘bee stinging him’ after that, seem to be a dig at his girlfriend Deepika, claimed the report.

With the ruling party BJP also pushing for a delay in the release of the film, this discontent among the co-stars makes us wonder, what will eventually happen to the film?
