Mumbai: The highly anticipated 'Simmba' trailer is finally out now. Starring Ranveer Singh in the title role of a corrupt cop named Sangram Balerao, the film also stars Sara Ali Khan playing his romantic interest. Simmba is the official remake of the Telugu blockbuster 'Temper' (2015). The trailer has all the ingredients one has come to expect from director Rohit Shetty’s masala entertainers.

Helmed by Shetty, the action-comedy seems to be riddled with clichés and tried-and-tested antics. Like an old-school Hindi masala film, Singh plays the invincible Sangram Balerao, a senior inspector, who believes that a corrupt officer’s life is the best one. He smashes bones, mints money and romances his ladylove Sara Ali Khan. However, a twist in the tale transforms him and forces him to choose the righteous path. There begins our hero’s chase to nail goons and teach them a lesson.

Ranveer had previously worked with Shetty for a brand endorsement. Simmba marks their first movie outing. Interestingly, Simmba is going to be Ranveer’s first release after his marriage with Deepika Padukone.

Ranveer took to his Twitter account and shared the trailer of Simmba.

The film also features an interesting cameo by Ajay Devgn as Singham. Apart from Devgn's special appearance, it's been reported that Golmaal boys including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade will also make cameo in Ranveer Singh starrer.

Besides Ranveer and Sara, the film also has Sonu Sood playing a baddy as well as Siddharth Jadhav, Ashutosh Rana and Vaidehi Parshurami in pivotal roles.

Produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions, and presented by Reliance Entertainment, Simmba is slated to release on December 28, 2018.
