'Had to do lot of introspection': Parineeti on 2-year absence from films
The actress calls her sabbatical of more than two years from the film industry as the 'best phase.'
Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra had a brilliant start to her Bollywood career with films like 'Ishaqzaade' and 'Hasee Toh Phasee' doing well. However, the twin failures of 'Daawat-e-Ishq' and 'Kill Dill' in 2014 did put the actress' career in jeopardy.
The bubbly actor was also body-shamed for being over-weight in the past, and therefore she chose to take a break and transform herself physically and emotionally.
At the chapter 1 launch from the trailer of her upcoming film ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’, Parineeti got candid and spoke her heart out about taking a time-off from Bollywood.
The actress said, “The break came at a time when I was going through a transformation in my personal and professional life. I had to do a lot of introspection. And it was the best phase. I worked on my health, work and I feel healthier.”
By meaning personal life, was she hinting about her break-up with director Maneesh Sharma?
Anyway, we are happy that this svelte figured beauty is back and with a bang. With a number of big banner films in her bucket list, I’m sure this diva is all set to rock at the big screens.
Watch for your clock, because her time starts now.
'Meri Pyaari Bindu' which also features Ayushmann Khurrana along side Parineeti Chopra is slated to release on 12th May 2017.
