Video: Parineeti is a 'jugaadu' livewire in quirky Meri Pyaari Bindu trailer

Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra is all set to be seen on the big screen in a full-fledged role after more than years.

The actress' career and her roles have often seen playing tomboy, bubbly girl-next-door characters.

Parineeti does it so well, that filmmakers find it difficult to cast her in any other role, which, to an extent, can annoy the average fan who sees potential versatility in her.

Her upcoming film 'Meri Pyaari Bindu,' has her seemingly playing a similarly repetitive role, albeit with much aplomb.

Chapter 2 shows an excerpt from the college days of the two protagonists played by Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra. The sequence, pretty much reminiscent of our own college days, is elevated thanks to a delectable performance by Parineeti.

Akshay Roy, who's debuting as a director with the film, is leaving no stone unturned to intrigue the audience a little more with every passing trailer.

By now, influences of films such as 'Gone Girl' to the bittersweet '500 Days of Summer' to even a not so dark version of Johnny Depp's 'Secret Window' could be traced, but one still wants to grant Roy his own sweet time to unravel his baby.

So for now, we wait.
