She mesmerised audience with her moves in Rangeela and continued to impress them for years after. However, much later in her career she took a backseat and was again in news in 2016 for tying the knot with a Kashmiri businessman Mohsin Akhtar Mir.

This time the actress is back on the silver screen with a dance number in Irrfan Khan’s Blackmail. However, the actress refuses to call this her comeback.

“It’s not like I was out of the country doing something else. But if the media is happy to call my next project as my comeback, then so be it,” smiles Urmila.

The actress further justifies her absence from the big screen.“I don’t do every song that comes my way. This was different. I have never heard of the word Bewafa Beauty. There’s got to be a filter on the quality of films I take up. So, there will be a gap here and there,” she justifies.

Urmila’s stance isn’t surprising since the actress has always been living life on her own terms. She didn’t succumb to the society pressure of settling down at the right age and rather believed in settling down with the right person.

“As a person, you stick to your convictions. And once you do that, everything falls in place. I was living an equally great life when I was single. Marriage has made me happier. The right approach for marriage is to do it when you feel it is the time to get hitched,” says Urmila.

In fact, she reveals that it’s her husband who got her to take up the number. “I am married to someone who is open-minded. He is partly responsible for me taking up this song. He asked me to give it a shot,” she smiles.

The 44-year-old actress, who once ruled Bollywood in the ‘90s, says she is in the best phase of her life. “My life at 40 is better than ever. You have been there, done and seen so much more.

You finally have the time to do whatever you want,” says Urmila. And when asked if being in the public eye brings the pressure to look young, she responds, “I don’t take that pressure,” she says, adding, “You have to live your life and take everything with a pinch of salt. It’s not an easy place to live it, I am used to it. Today because of social media everyone has an opinion but then you need to make sure you aren’t swayed. For instance,

I am not dressed in designer clothes all the time; I don’t believe in that madness.”
