Injury setbacks for Ranveer Singh
The actor was prepping for the finale act for the IPL opening ceremony, but will now only concentrate on his films.
If the Gully Boy heroine Alia Bhatt has her left hand in a sling, co-actor Ranveer Singh joins her with his right hand in a sling. No, Ranveer is not offering his co-star any solidarity, but the actor was injured recently. Alia Bhatt, who injured her left shoulder while shooting for the film Brahmastra in Bulgaria, is now undergoing physiotherapy. And now, the male lead of the Zoya Akhtar film Gully Boy also got an injury.
While this injury had earlier put a question mark on his IPL performance, his spokesperson now tells us that it will not happen at all.
“Ranveer has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to stress it for at least a month. After multiple medical check-ups, the doctors have strongly advised Ranveer Singh to not perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he was doing the grand finale act. They feel his high-energy performance would only overstrain his shoulder and aggravate the injury,” says Ranveer’s spokesperson.
At the same time, we are informed that the actor will continue working on his other projects as usual. “Ranveer will continue to shoot for Gully Boy as per its shooting schedule, which is not physically strenuous since only performance-based talkie scenes are left to be shot,” says the spokesperson.
