After 10 years, Akshay Kumar to work with YRF
Akshay was last seen in YRF's Tashan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya that tanked at the box office.
After believing and working in films that highlight social causes, like PadMan and Toilet Ek Prem Katha, actor Akshay Kumar is planning to move on to other genres.
In his chain of actions, the Khiladi has not only green signaled a film with Kareena Kapoor Khan, apart from doing Housefull 4 and Hera Pheri 3, he has given his nod to a Yash Raj Film as well.
As far as Akshay and YRF chronicles are concerned, the actor was seen for the first time in an extended cameo in the 1997 YRF film Dil To Pagal Hai where he played Madhuri Dixit’s suitor. After that Akshay was last seen in YRF’s Tashan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya that tanked at the box office.
“Akshay has decided to work in a YRF movie after 10 years now. The banner approached Akshay to be part of their next venture and he found the project interesting and agreed to do the movie,” says a source. More details on the project are awaited.
