We haven’t seen filmmaker Sajid Khan around ever since allegations of sexual harassment were levelled against him by multiple women as part of Bollywood’s #MeToo movement, and it seems he’s deliberately avoiding the media.

The other night, the director attended a closed-door meeting organised by the Indian Film and Television Director’s Association (IFTDA), where he vehemently denied the allegations. And when he caught sight of some media persons as he stepped out of the meeting, he refused to even look at the cameras before getting into his car and speeding away.

Ostensibly, he has been told to lay low and not speak to the media or post anything on social media for a while. “Sajid has remained quiet from the beginning of all this. He has lost his film Housefull 4 as well. He wants to try to prove that he is not at fault, but he does not want to use the media to do that,” a source says.

In the meantime, Lipstick Under My Burkha actress Aahana Kumra has shared her account of how Sajid asked her some awkward questions and made uncouth remarks when she met with him to discuss a film.
