Aditi Mittal stands up to Rishi Kapoor
Yet again, the actor lost his cool at a Twitter user for slamming his son Ranbir's upcoming film.
Over the last few years, actor Rishi Kapoor has become notorious for being rude on social media. It’s become so common that most news about the actor revolves around his frequent outbursts.
Yet again, the actor lost his cool at a Twitter user for slamming his son Ranbir’s upcoming film. After seeing the trailer of Ranbir’s film Sanju, the biopic on Sanjay Dutt, the person tweeted that the film was a ‘blatant attempt to clean up’ the actor’s image. He was of the opinion that ‘a criminal is a criminal’ referring to Sanjay's involvement in the 1993 bomb blasts and even went to the extent of calling director Rajkumar Hirani ‘an absolute scum.’
This was enough to provoke daddy Rishi, who quickly lashed out at the Twitter user by calling him a ‘prick’ and a ‘swipe’. “What do you know of cinema you prick. We are in the entertainment business not repairing anybody’s image. As swipes like you don’ t deserve to see films (sic),” Rishi Kapoor wrote.
There’s nothing new about Rishi’s reaction as this isn’t the first time he’s abused someone on social media. His despicable behaviour was highlighted when he abused multiple women who trolled him for his quiz ‘What’s common between Karan Johar and Rishi Kapoor?’
While people usually choose to ignore his hot-headed reactions, this time his tweet has irked standup comedian Aditi Mittal. She has a serious problem with his behaviour and wondered why the media kept covering his movies and interviews as if the behaviour is normal. Highlighting how India is sick with misogyny, she wondered if this is what is expected from the heroes. She also seemed to feel that the industry was condoning this behaviour only because he is Rishi Kapoor. She also criticised journalists for not having the guts to ask him about why he embarrasses himself on DMs during the 102 Not Out promotions with ‘master creeper’ Amitabh Bachchan.
