Actor-politician Ravi Kishan’s daughter Riva made some big decisions in order to sigh her debut film Sab Kushal Mangal — She gave up her life in London in order to come back and start acting.

“I definitely miss London. Here I was pampered under my parents’ shadow, but life in London taught me to be independent. I had to figure out my everyday life there: I had to shop for groceries, wash my clothes, and also take care of my daily course while studying acting there. My parents were surprised when I came back because I was doing all my work by myself,” she laughingly recounts her experience abroad.

While Riva made personal sacrifices to get the film, getting this film itself was not challenging for her. “Though I didn’t have to struggle to get the film and I wasn’t auditioned, but I have to struggle to prove myself in the industry. It’s definitely going be a challenge. No one gets a film so easily, and there’s a lot of hard work in the movie,” she shares, adding that seeing her father’s career trajectory has helped her gain clarity on the movie business.

“I have seen that dad had to struggle a lot, but as long as you are honest about your work, nothing else matters.  You will achieve success someday. Even my dad said being honest makes your life simple. I will be honest, work hard, believe in it and be passionate about it,” she asserts.

The young actress couldn’t miss the opportunity as she has always aspired to be an actress. “I have always wanted to be an actress and I have seen dad’s hard work. I would wonder why he is so passionate about acting, now I realise how much struggle goes into it,” she muses.

As for her bright future, the newcomer is happy to do anything, even films down South like her father. “I am ready to do whatever comes my way.  I open to the South too,” she smiles in conclusion.
