Dia Mirza's back!
Now that she's back, the actress is raring to go. She hopes to work on the biopic of painter Amrita Sher-Gil in the future.
Actress Dia Mirza, who’s been missing in action for the past few years, has made a comeback with Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, in which she plays Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata. Needless to say, she’s thrilled that the film has not only raked in critical acclaim, but also box-office success. It’s expected to cross the Rs 200-crore mark within the first week itself.
“We are more than happy to see the kind of love that Sanju is getting. People are liking the film and I am very proud of having been a part of it and having worked with such good people. Raju sir is my favourite filmmaker. I’ve worked with him before in Lage Raho Munna Bhai,” Dia says.
Now that she’s back, the actress is raring to go. She hopes to work on the biopic of painter Amrita Sher-Gil in the future. “Amrita Sher-Gil was an artist who loved children a lot, and she died early. There are a lot of real-life stories that can be made into films. If I can, I would like to make a film about her,” she says.
