Azad watches Thugs of Hindostan with daddy

The Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer, Thugs of Hindostan, is one of the most awaited films this Diwali. A Diwali bonanza, the film also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh and has been directed by Vijay Krishan Acharya. However, this is the first time that Aamir Khan’s son Azad has watched a film of his dad's.

The Thugs of Hindostan star informs, “Until today, he has not seen any of my films. We decided to take him to watch Thugs of Hindostan. However, he does not like action films, so whenever there were action scenes, Azad would get scared and Kiran would cover his eyes with her duppatta. Azad has seen just half of Thugs….”Aamir adds, “Azad likes to watch animation films. We allow him to watch cartoon films for about two hours daily. And he enjoys watching them regularly.”

The actor reveals, “Azad was anxious to know why Amitabh Bachchan was called by the name ‘Azad’? When I told him ‘because of you, they kept calling him Azad,’ he felt very happy.” Now that he is older, Azad understands his dad’s work. “Earlier, Azad would be surprised, whenever we went out on a stroll or an outing, and my fans would wish me and want to come close to me. Azad would be curious to know why people wanted to come close and wish me. I had then explained to him that ‘these people watch your father’s films. Hence, they know me. They also like my films and so they want to extend their wishes to me.’ He has understood this now.”
