Ali Fazal backs out of web series

Ali Fazal has his dates booked for the next six months. The actor, who was supposed to be part of Eros’ web series Smoke, has backed out of the project citing date issues.

Says a source, “Ali shot the pilot last year in March, but the show got delayed because of script issues. They recently began shooting when he was already committed to his Hollywood project, and Fukrey 2. Because of that he had to back out and let go off the show.”

Based on Goa’s infamous mafia network, Ali Fazal was to play an informer in the show that also features actress Kalki Koechlin in a prominent role.
