Amitabh Bachchan skips Sunday darshan

For the first time in years the shehansah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, gave his weekly Sunday ritual of greeting his sea of fans at his residence Jalsa, a miss. The 76-year-old actor cited pain as the reason for missing the 37-year-old ritual.  “…Not doing the Sunday Darshan today… In bed… Pain .. Inform all, nothing to worry, but unable to come out,” The Badla wrote on his blog.

Says a source close to Mr Bachchan, “Amitji wouldn’t miss this weekly rendezvous with his fans for the world. But this Sunday, for the first time he was left with no choice but to cancel the Sunday ritual due to ill health. It broke his heart.”
