Bharat: Gear up to see Salman in five avatars; Maine Pyar Kiya look one of them
Ali Abbas Zafar is trying to recreate superstar Salman Khan's Maine Pyar Kiya' look.
Mumbai: ‘Bharat’ director Ali Abbas Zafar had earlier told in an interview that he’s trying to recreate superstar Salman Khan’s ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ look for his movie. But that’s not all. Bhaijaan will don not two or three, but five different looks for this one.
A source told DNA, “Salman will sport five different looks in ‘Bharat’, which begins with him witnessing one of the most dramatic chapters of our history — the Partition. It’s an Indian adaptation of the Korean movie, ‘Ode to My Father’ and will be a commercial film with a mix of action, drama and music.”
Ali confirmed the same saying, “Since the story spans over a period of 70 years, there will be many historical references. It is essentially about a man who lives through several significant moments from India’s past to present. We are currently working on the film’s pre-production and details will be announced once we are in a position to talk about them.”
“The Partition sequences will be shot in Punjab, keeping in mind the minute details which have been researched over the last three months. Original steam engines will be used for this shoot along with art, costumes, and nuances, which will give the feel of that era,” added the director.
Salman and Ali have worked on 'Sultan' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai' previously.
