Former Bollywood starlet Celina Jaitly and theatre veteran Lilette Dubey star in a mother-daughter drama titled 'A Tribute To Rituparno Ghosh: Season's Greetings', which will air on Zee5 OTT platform on April 15. It is directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee.

The film marks the return of Celina Jaitly Haag post marriage and motherhood. Veteran actor Lillette Dubey plays the role of mother, while Celina plays the daughter. Debutant actor Azhaar Khan plays the role of Celina's boyfriend, while transgender actor Shree Ghatak plays the role of Chapala the househelp.

The film received some notice at film festivals such as the Cardiff International Film Festival and Rajasthan International Film Festival early this year.

Produced by Aritra Das and Shailendra Kumar, the film was shot in Kolkata.

The film has music by Shailendra Sayanti and marks the debut of Kumar Sanu's son Jaan Kumar Sanu as playback singer. Two other tracks are rendered by Sayani Palit and Sarbani Mukherjee.

Acknowledging the challenge posed by the coronavirus to the film industry, producer Aritra Das said, "It takes a lot to make a feature and then release it at the right platform. Though the time is gloomy and people are locked down at home, I feel that this film will bring a smile to their faces."

Initially the producers had planned premieres in Mumbai and Kolkata, but those plans were put paid to by the nationwide coronavirus lockdown. That's when they decided to go digital with the entire promotion.
