Karan Johar was trolled for nepotism after announcing decision to launch Janhvi Kapoor.

Ever since 'Dhadak' went on floors, it has made news because it promised to launch new faces - Sridevi's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter.

The team released interesting posters which caught our interest as much before the trailer release.

And now finally the trailer has been unveiled amongst Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Shashank Khaitan and Karan Johar. In order to support Janhvi, Anil Kapoor, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and of course Khushi Kapoor also attended the grand event held at a suburban theatre.

The makers openly claim that the movie is an adaptation of the Marathi blockbuster 'Sairat', which has been a dream for Janhvi.

At the trailer launch she shared, "When I saw Sairat, I told mom that I wish it was my first film."

Further speaking about playing the girl  from 'Sairat' she mentioned, "I don't think any actor can even touch Archie."

When asked about their first day, Janhvi recollected, "We weren't nervous on first day because we were prepared. Me and Ishaan didn't sleep." To that, Ishaan mentioned, "When he (Shashank) told me he wants to make the film with me, when that sunk in, there was only excitement," adding, "He told us not to watch the film again and again. We read a lot."

Shashank too remembered, "I said okay at the very first shot of Dhadak."

Speaking about the concept, director saab added, "I am a Marwari so it was easier for me to adapt."

Karan Johar once again brought the topic of nepotism, saying, "There's a word which has gone on since 2 years now, but it's all hard work - on nepotism."

Further when asked about any tip from Sridevi, Janhvi said, "Mom's biggest tip was to work hard. Dad didn't give me any tip."

Karan even spoke about Manish Malhotra, calling him Janhvi's fashion father. "I always call Manish Janhvi's fashion father. He used to talk about her a lot so I felt I knew her already," he said.
