'Article 15' brings Ayushmann Khurrana as the most realistic cop on the big screen

Ayushmann's heroic and realistic portrayal of the cop character is hitting the right chords with the people of the country.

Mumbai: Ever since the first look of the film Article 15 was released, it has piqued the excitement of the audience where the actor is shown in an intense cop avatar, seen like never before. Bollywood is riding high on the cop dramas but Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 avatar is closest that it gets to the real-life cops in India.

Considering the earlier commercial cop drama Simmba, which was marinated in entertainment yet didn't give the realistic feel, the audience could relate to the character more with Ayushmann's portrayal. Interestingly, Simmba was also a cop drama revolving around a rape case but Ayushmann Khurrana in Article 15 depicts the realistic scenario which will enthrall the audience in a different manner.

A thrilling look and a hard-hitting backdrop from the movie which gives us a  hint about the investigative drama is set to hit the theatres soon. The poster asks the audience not to beg for justice and take up action.

The investigative drama, 'Article 15' is set to get a world premiere at the tenth edition of the London Indian Film Festival. The investigative drama will be shown on the opening night. Ayushmann will be the man of law for the first time onscreen essaying the role of a heroic cop.

The film also stars Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha and Produced by Benaras Media Works and Zee Studios, the film is sure to put the audience in a social perspective.
