Govinda bets on Fryday
Let's hope that Chi Chi and Chucha have a good Friday after all.
The 90’s star Govinda is all set to return to the big screen with Fryday, a comedy film directed by Abhishek Dogra. The actor says that the making of the film reminded him of the early days of his career.
“When I would do films with small producers and directors, many people would dissuade me saying certain producers would never complete their films. But all those films were made and released, and they turned out to be huge hits, to everyone’s surprise. Working on Fryday felt like déjàvu. I realised that the film was being made so well, and I was enjoying myself. I knew that we had a superhit on our hands. The film has such good writing and direction, and my co-actors are so hardworking,” the actor says.
Fryday also stars Varun Sharma of Fukrey, and Govinda is completely bowled over by his performance in the film.
“He is such a brilliant actor and he dances so well. I have been telling him to lose weight because if he gets into shape, he will become a superstar overnight,” he says.
Let’s hope that Chi Chi and Chucha have a good Friday after all.
