Is Ranbir Kapoor unhappy with the Dutt biopic?
Hoping for a hit to revive his career, Ranbir Kapoor is having reservations about the movie.
If trade buzz is to be believed, Ranbir Kapoor is not quite pleased with the way the Dutt biopic has been shaping up. It doesn’t matter that the actor has been through a spate of flops recently, and is hoping that the ambitious project, followed by Brahmastra, will put his career back on track.
Says a source in the know, “Ranbir felt that since it was a biopic, the film would be centred around him. But then that’s not how Rajkumar Hirani makes his film. His movies make for good entertainment, and come with a message. That’s perhaps why Ranbir isn’t able to understand why the film moves into the lives of other people in the story, when the movie is actually about Sanjay Dutt, whose character he essays.”
Ranbir is now actively participating in the post-production work of the film, trying to get a glimpse into the editing process. While one can understand Ranbir’s concern, he probably needs to grasp that it’s only a good film that can help give his career the boost it needs after the debacles.
