Chhattisgarh: Shiv Sena warns theatres against Raees

Bhopal: The Shiv Sena’s Chhattisgarh unit warned theatres in the state on Wednesday not to screen Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees, which also features Pakistai actress Mahira Khan, according to the distributor of the film. The movie is slated for all-India release on January 25.

The film’s distributor, Akhyaya Rathi, made an appeal to Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh and the latter’s son Abhishek, who is an MP, to ensure the smooth screening of the movie in theatres in the state. He said the Shiv Sena’s Chhattisgarh unit chief had written letters to some theatres in the state warning them not to screen the movie.
