After having spent a few years working in Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra seems keen on giving members of the Indian film industry a taste of the American way of doing business. The actress, who is busy prepping for Shonali Amu Bose’s The Sky Is Pink has asked to see not only the script but also the creatives for the film. And for her upcoming project, Bharat, with Salman Khan, she wants a share of the film’s profits.

In the west, it’s common for actors to be paid a base figure as remuneration and then receive back-end payments. “Actors are paid from the first lot of money that the studio receives from the sale of rights to the film. Then, the 10 against 10 system is followed. Which means, they get 10 million dollars in advance from 10 per cent of the gross profits. Priyanka’s management team is learning from their Hollywood counterparts, and they want her to work in a similar manner in Bollywood as well. A Few clauses, like a royalty fee, cannot be applied here, though. In Hollywood, actors receive some money every time their film is screened on any television network,” a source reveals.

We wonder how many people are going to be pleased to comply with these demands.
