Kabir is working on new war epic series titled The Forgotten Army. He quickly clarifies that it is not about Subhash Chandra Bose alone.
Before Kabir Khan plunges into his big-screen sports film on the 1983 Cricket World Cup, he is immersed in a creating a web series. And he is enjoying every bit of it.
“It is no different from making a feature film,” says Kabir. “There is no compromise on scale or budget just because of the size of the screen.”
Kabir is working on new war epic series titled The Forgotten Army. He quickly clarifies that it is not about Subhash Chandra Bose alone. “It deals with the entire Indian National Army (INA), which he helmed. There were so many brave soldiers fighting by his side, whom history has forgotten.”
The research and raw material for the series was already at Kabir’s disposal. He says, “In 1999, I had made a documentary entitled The Forgotten Army about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s INA. I wanted to convert that into a feature film. But when I got a chance to do something like this, I decided to change my original plans of doing a feature film on The Forgotten Army into an eight-part mini-series.”
The web series will be showcased on Amazon India.
