Akshay Kumar announces Mission Mangal release date, clashes with John and Mouni's films
Some days back Akshay Kumar had announced he signed three-film-deal with Fox Star Studios and Cape Of Good Hope.
A few days back Akshay Kumar had announced that he has signed a three-film-deal with Fox Star Studios and Cape Of Good Hope. Not just that, he also revealed that the first movie he would begin in this collaboration was Mission Mangal.
Akshay recently shared a photo of the cast including Kriti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menon. Today he also took to Twitter to inform that the movie will be an Independence Day release next year.
“A powerful true story of ordinary people with extraordinary dreams, on an unheard of mission to achieve the impossible. #MissionMangal will come alive on 15th August, 2019. See you at the theaters. @foxstarhindi,” he tweeted.
Co-incidentally John Abraham’s Batla House, which went on floors recently, is also set to release on August 15. That movie is based on Operation Batla House, which was an encounter which officially took place against Indian Mujahideen terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi.
It isn’t the first time that the ‘friends’ Akshay and John clash with each other at the Box Office. It took place this year too, with Gold and Satyameva Jayate both releasing on Independence Day. With such kind of behaviour, it looks like the clash between both their films might not stop any soon.
However Akshay and John are not the only ones facing the heat at the Box Office. Akki’s Gold co-actress Mouni Roy too is coming with her next film ‘Made In China’, which also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. Rajkummar plays a Gujarati businessman in the film, which is a role he hasn’t attempted before.
