Pad Man's opening weekend mints Rs 40 crore at box office

The film earned Rs 10.26 crore on Friday with the total number Rs 23.94 crore in two days.

Akshay Kumar’s latest film Pad Man finished its first weekend by collecting Rs 40 crore across India. The film managed to earn Rs 10.26 crore on Friday with the total number  amounting to Rs 23.94 crore in two days. The film minted another Rs 16.06 crore on Sunday.

Noted film trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share Pad Man’s latest collection, “By early estimates, #Padman does Rs 16 crore  Nett on Sunday — Feb 11th, taking the opening weekend All-India Nett to Rs 40 crore ..(sic)”

Directed by R. Balki, Pad Man is based on the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, inventor of low-cost sanitary napkins for women in rural areas. Next week, Pad Man will face competition from Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee’s espionage drama Aiyaary.
