Sidharth Malhotra, Sushant Singh Rajput to clash on Republic Day

While the Khans have unofficially blocked Diwali and Eid release dates for their films, the new breed of actors such as Sushant Singh Rajput and Sidharth Malhotra are locking horns on Republic Day — 2018.

Sanjay Puran Singh, director of Sushant’s Chandama Door Ke had said earlier, “We are releasing our film on 26 January 2018. This film is of such a scale that it needs that kind of a window for its release. 26 January is a Friday, so we get a long weekend.”

Sidharth’s Aiyaary will be directed by Neeraj Pandey. Chandama hasn’t gone on floors, but the makers are still eyeing a Republic Day release. Earlier Akshay Kumar’s Crack was reportedly scheduled to release on Republic Day but that didn’t work out.
