Baahubali 2 breaks records in the US
The movie has already collected an approximate of Rs 84 crore in the US, despite being screened in only 450 screens.
Bahubali 2: The Conclusion is earning itself accolades all over the world. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the film released worldwide on April 28, and quickly climbed to success at the box office becoming the highest grossing Indian film of all time. The movie has already collected an approximate of Rs 84 crore in the US, despite being screened in only 450 screens.
The sequel to Rajamouli’s 2015 epic, Baahubali: The Beginning, the film has even managed to surpass Tom Hanks and Emma Watson starrer The Circle, which was shown in over 3,000 screens in the US, but only managed a Rs 59 crore on the opening weekend.
Back home, Baahubali 2 beat previous record holder, Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal, which had earned a total of Rs 79 crore. Planned as a two-part epic, both the films, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, were filmed simultaneously, filmed at an estimated budget of Rs 256 crore, making this the most expensive Indian production ever.
