Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak completes 30 years
Mansoor is Aamir's cousin and his father Nasir Hussain was the writer and the producer of the film.
It’s been thirty years since Aamir Khan made his debut with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Aamir, along with the cast and crew of the film, hosted a get-together to celebrate the film’s 30-year mark.
Apart from the crewmembers present at the celebrations, Aamir’s first wife, Reena Datta, was also present and so was Aamir’s younger brother, Faisal Khan. Actors Viju Khote, Raj Zutshi, Shehzad Khan, and Dalip Tahil were among others who made it for the event.
“It does not feel that it is 30 years. But we are meeting after such a long time and I am watching the film after three decades,” exclaimed Mr. Perfectionist.
Having retired from films, director Mansoor Khan, who now spends time making cheese down south, made a rare appearance. He was quick to correct Aamir’s statement. “We did a celebration when the film completed 25 years. You saw the film even then,” said Mansoor.
Mansoor is Aamir’s cousin and his father Nasir Hussain was the writer and the producer of the film. “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was not the original name of the film. There is a dialogue in the film which says, ‘Nafrat Ke Waris.’ But my father was very good with names and he was the one who named it as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak,” reveals Mansoor.
Incidentally the other QS Cutie — Juhi Chawla was not present at the event. A big milestone, Aamir broke into an impromptu gig and sang for wife Kiran Rao. —Sanskriti Media
