Ghulaam takes a progressive stance

Makers of the show Ghulaam are doing their bit to positively impact the lives eunuchs in the country. The entry of eunuchs in the show will take the story line ahead as they will be shown helping the protagonist Shivani (played by Niti Taylor) and Rashmi (played by Sarika Dhillon) escape from the atrocities of Berahampur, a fictitious place in the show depicted as the crime capital of India.
Talking about the discrimination that the community often faces in the society, leading lady of the show Niti points out that they “deserve equal rights as everyone else”. “I feel very sorry when they are looked down upon,” she laments.
According to her, the show is not only encouraging women to speak up against atrocities, but has done a worthy job by showing eunuchs in a good light. “I am proud and happy to be associated with Ghulaam. In the show, they put themselves in danger and risk their lives to save me and Rashmi.” Speaking of her experience, she further added, “I had a blast shooting with them and we have also made plans of meeting them again at my house very soon.”
