Honey to direct Nawaz in his debut?

Casting director Honey Trehan, who was supposed to make his directorial debut with Sapna Didi starring Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone, has made an exit from the project. While he paved way for Vishal Bhardwaj there were reports about differences between the two.

Nonetheless, Honey is now all set to helm his debut project, which will have Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead.

“Honey will be making his debut with a thriller film. He has approached Nawazuddin for the same and he is in talks with him. The film will go on floors soon,” says a source.

Honey, who has a sharp sense of casting, also produced Konkona Sen Sharma’s Death In The Gunj.

Meanwhile, Nawaz will next be seen in Manto. Besides that he will also be seen essaying the lead role in the widely anticipated biopic — Thackeray — based on the right-wing Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.
