Anurag Kashyap’s recently-released Manmarziyaan is being received well by critics and audiences alike. In fact, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal have even received flowers and notes of appreciation from Amitabh Bachchan. But Big B seems to have forgotten all about the third angle in the film’s love triangle.

Abhishek, who has turned returned from the Toronto Film Festival, says that he is puzzled by the discrimination. “I am still waiting for my flowers and note. I don’t know why I haven’t gotten them yet. It isn’t as if paa hasn’t sent me flowers commending my earlier performances. This time, only my co-stars have received flowers – I am still waiting,” he says.

But while his father may have yet to make a show of appreciation, the rest of the film industry is raving about Jr Bachchan’s performance.

Filmmaker Karan Johar tweets, “Their is so much of loveliness in @KanikaDhillon’s writing!! She captures the emotional beats with ease and expertise! The performances are extraordinary! A superbly solid, silent and sensitive portrayal by @juniorbachchan !! So so proud of his work!!! He is so amazing ! (sic).”
