Vidya broke stereotypes, says Kunaal Roy Kapur

Vidya Balan’s brother-in-law and actor Kunal Roy Kapur, is all praises for the change she brought in Bollywood. Vidya has never been the quintessential size zero heroine. And at a time when fit actresses rule the roost, she managed to create a niche for herself with her talent.

He says, “I don’t think there has ever been anyone, barring Vidya, who has given a damn about their body and preferred concentrating on the role. I think she has also benefited from the directors and producers who share the same vision.” Vidya’s last outing as a housewife-turned-RJ in Tumhari Sulu has been highly appreciated. He goes on to add that the industry needs more actresses like her. Kunal says, “We need more like her. Women need to break the stereotype of a pretty woman. She managed to create a niche for herself, where no one in the past has been able to. That’s why I admire her for the path that she made for herself.”
