Unlike what reports say, the CBFC has not made any dramatic changes to Love Aaj Kal barring explicit language.

The censor board is being maligned for nothing. Reports before the release of Love Aaj Kal stated that the censor board “drastically reduced” the romantic sequences between Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan.

A source close to the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) says there were no lovemaking scenes in the film. “If you see the film, there are two sequences where the lead pair are about to make love, but in both cases, they reject the idea. So where was the intimacy curtailed?”

The source also says the kissing scenes between Kartik and Sara were not censored, and what has been reduced are the profanities. At one point in the film, Sara’s character says, “F**k you, assh*le” to her co-star.

The first profanity has been retained, the second has been beeped out.
