Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika delayed again
Nishant Pitti now discloses that due to some pending shooting work, Manikarnika's release will be postponed.
When lady luck is not on your side, a film can face repeated delays. That’s why filmmakers announce release dates in advance so that they serve as a deadline and motivate the completion of the film. However, this tactic seems to have bombed for Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. The film, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, seems to be delayed again despite the initial release date of April 27, 2018, being announced. While one of the film’s producers, Nishant Pitti, revealed that the film would hit theatres on Independence Day, the release date in trade circles was November 29.
Another film to face a similar fate is the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, which had its release date postponed from Republic Day to April 27 and then to Independence Day. When the date was changed again to November 29, trade circles speculated that the release date would be postponed, as the makers
of Manikarnika had called dibs on the date.
But Pitti now discloses that due to some pending shooting work, Manikarnika’s release will be postponed. “There is some patchwork left on the film and we will not be coming on November 29,” he reveals.
Incidentally, Krish, who has also been signed for the NTR biopic in Tollywood, will now have to shuffle his dates to complete shooting for Manikarnika as well.
