Priyanka Chopra to team up with Raj-DK?
Priyanka's involvement in the second phase is still not confirmed.
In what could be considered a big step forward for the streaming platform in India, the directorial duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. have been signed by Amazon to co-direct a 3-part American series called Citadel.
The series featuring Priyanka Chopra and the Game Of Thrones actor Richard Madden is being designed and navigated by the Russo Brothers — Joseph and Anthony who directed the superhero blockbuster The Avengers.
While Phase 1 of Citadel featuring Madden and Chopra-Jonas will be directed by the Russo brothers, Phase 2 entitled Citadel India is to be shot in India and will be directed by Raj and DK. Priyanka’s involvement in the second phase is still not confirmed. While the Go Goa Gone directorial duo is tightlipped about the project, sources say they flew to Los Angeles last week for their meeting with the Russo Brothers.
“They were on in no time at all. The Russos had seen Raj and DK’s work. The Russo brothers were convinced Raj and DK would be the right fit for the global intelligence drama of Citadel,” says the source. All three seasons — Citadel America with Madden and Priyanka Chopra, Citadel India and Citadel Italy — would be shot simultaneously.
