Is Malaika Arora upset with Arjun Kapoor?

It seems like all is not well between Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor. We are told that the closeness that Arjun and Ileana D’ Cruz displayed during the promotions of the film Mubarakan, but also after the release of the film is troubling Malaika, who is now divorced from her ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan.

It is being said that Malaika took a divorce from Arbaaz so that she could carry on life ahead with the man she wanted to be with. The Arjun-Malaika relationship has been under scrutiny ever since Arjun was a Salman Khan protégé. Arjun then went on to lose weight and look superlative enough to make a Bollywood debut under Salman Khan’s tutelage.

“But, Salman was not too happy with Arjun having a close relationship with his sister-in-law and had even banned his entry from his house. Arjun fell out with bhai. Arjun, who was a regular at the Khan household, was then regarded as an outcast, but the damage had been done,” says the source.

While many blind items were carried by tabloids about why Arbaaz and Malaika were not together anymore, Arjun and Malaika exchanged pleasantries when they could, “but bhai avoided any kind of relationship with Malaika because she did not listen to him and didn’t stay together with Arbaaz anymore,” adds the source.

Malaika and Arjun have often avoided mention of each other in every interview and made sure that they respect the presence or perhaps the lack of it in each other’s lives. But the story as it stands today, has Malaika as a single mother and Arjun as a free lad making his own decisions, which has not gone down well with the lady who left her family for him.
