Decision was need of the hour: Ajay wants ban on sale of crackers in other cities too
The actor was all praises for the Supreme Court order restoring the ban on the sale of firecrackers till November 1.
New Delhi: Hailing the Supreme Court's decision of banning the sale of firecrackers in the national capital, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn said it should be implemented in other cities too.
Speaking to media during a promotional event of his film 'Golmaal Again', the 'Shivaay' actor said, "Honestly, I don't know how much my perception of Supreme Court's decision on banning the sale of firecrackers matches with the people. But I do feel that it's a right decision. Rest, the people will be able to tell better. The decision will somewhat affect some section of people, who earn their bread from this, but I believe this decision was the need of the hour."
"For the time being, it's a right decision. I believe it should be implemented in other cities also," he added.
For the unversed, the Supreme Court, on October 9, restored the ban on the sale of firecrackers till November 1. While delivering its order, the court said it wants to test the effect of the ban on air quality after Diwali.
The Supreme Court, earlier on October 6, had reserved its order on the review petition over lifting the ban on firecrackers.
