Sunny Deol starrer finds no takers
Ironically, in Bhaiaji Superhit, Deol plays a gangster who decides to become an actor and delivers a superhit film.
Those expecting to see Sunny Deol in movie theatres this week may have to wait a while longer. The release of the new Sunny Deol starrer Bhaiaji Superhit has been postponed again. This is bad news not just for Deol but also his co-star Preity Zinta. The actress who hasn’t had a release in five years, not counting a couple of cameos, saw her last release Ishkq In Paris bomb at the box-office. Zinta lost a considerable amount of money over the movie she had produced.
Bhaiaji Superhit, in which Zinta plays a rustic character for the first time, will now be releasing after Diwali.
According to sources, “There is just no interest in Bhaiaji Superhit. The buzz around Badhaai Ho and Namaste England, the two other films opening this coming Friday is pretty strong. On top of this, Sunny Deol’s last release Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se was a dud. The producers of Bhaiaji Superhit have decided to opt out of their release plans for now.”
Ironically, in Bhaiaji Superhit, Deol plays a gangster who decides to become an actor and delivers a superhit film. That hit seems to have eluded the actor lately in real life.
