Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have invited the whole world to watch their son Taimur Ali Khan grow up, and have been pretty candid about their parenting as well.

The actress reveals her husband is quite hands-on with their son, and never misses his responsibilities when it comes to the little one. “He regularly takes Taimur to swimming classes. I usually feed him, and Saif is always worried about when I will be home. The time that we share with Taimur has to be given to him by all means, and Saif is very particular about it,” she says.

As for how they discipline him, Kareena says that she prefers to play the good cop to Saif’s bad cop. “Taimur isn’t scared of either of us. Whenever I try to scold him, my heart pains. So I always tell Saif to be the bad cop while I like to be the good cop,” she says, adding, “I know mothers are usually stricter, but in this case, Saif is the one inculcating discipline and ethical values in Taimur. I tell Saif that he must discipline Taimur and be strict with him simply because he has three kids now. I am a first-time mother, so I am learning.”

Seeing Taimur’s super filmy family, one can only wonder whether he wants to go into the family business when he’s older and join the star kid wagon. But Kareena says she and the family don’t want to force him into anything.

“Right now, he is a child and too small to share anything of that sort with us. We are not parents who pressure our child, asking him if he would become a cricketer or try acting simply because he comes from a family of cricketers and actors. He can follow his heart’s wish professionally later on. We will always support him in whatever he would like to do,” smiles the actress and mommy, who has to find a balance between both her passions. When asked about her de-stressing ritual, she reveals: “I don’t attend parties, screenings or social events. I love to be with my family; I feel happy when I am with them.”

Additionally, Kareena makes sure to schedule her work so that she can go home on time. “I make it very clear that I have to be with Taimur so beyond that timing I am never out of the house. Being with Taimur is also de-stressing for me. Like in a day or two, I will be meeting the entire family as my cousin brother is getting engaged. I await such family gatherings that help me be in my own space and feel de-stressed,” she concludes.
