Arjun falls out with Half Girlfriend director Mohit
Buzz is that the two won't even talk to each other after heated altercations escalated.
Mohit Suri has not had a successful outing since Aashiqui 2 smashed the box office. While Ek Villain in 2014 scraped through to being an average earner, Mohit’s most recent release, Hamari Adhuri Kahaani was a disaster.
Now, when Mohit decided to direct Half Girlfriend, the film adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name, one would expect fierce dedication on location. Instead, one hears of bitter arguments breaking out between Mohit and his leading man, Arjun Kapoor, who plays a Bihari boy trying to court a Delhi girl.
“They don’t see eye to eye on the sets at all,” reveals a source from the film’s core team. “It started with minor arguments, and built up to major, heated altercations. Now, Mohit and Arjun don’t speak at all.”
This is a rather sticky situation, not just for the film, which still needs to be completed, but also for leading lady Shraddha Kapoor, who finds herself caught in the crossfire between the hero of the movie and the director. While this is a messy place to be in, hopefully by the time movie promotions begin, the two will have sorted out their issues.
