Salman Khan will be back for Wanted 2
The Wanted sequel was stuck in a legal imbroglio due to copyright infringement issues.
After seesawing between accepting and rejecting Boney Kapoor’s No Entry Mein Entry, Salman Khan has clearly told a friend that he would not be doing the film. But the bad news of Salman’s no entry in the film is offset with the good news that he is “most definitely doing” the sequel to Wanted and teaming up with Prabhu Deva for the second time.
The Wanted sequel was stuck in a legal imbroglio due to copyright infringement issues. However, the courts have now ruled in Boney’s favour, making matters proceed with supreme celerity. Salman and Prabhu have already had a meeting where Salman suggested a basic plot, and the latter would be developing it further.
A source close to Salman reveals, “He is very keen on Wanted 2 since the first part that released in 2009 changed his fortunes. It was his first hit after a spate of flops that prompted trade analysts to write off his career.” Wanted is also close to Prabhu’s heart since it was his directorial debut in Bollywood. “Salman and Prabhu have been wanting to come together,” adds the source. Salman’s fans can watch out for an announcement soon. Ayesha Takia wouldn’t be a part of the sequel.
