Not a product of nepotism: Rohan Mehra

Rohan Mehra, who’s all set to make his debut alongside Saif Ali Khan in Baazaar, is the son of late actor Vinod Mehra, but he says that he’s not entered the industry the easy way.

“Nepotism definitely exists; it would be silly to say that it doesn’t. But I haven’t enjoyed its benefits, I have struggled to get this role. Before bagging this project, I gave a bunch of auditions and was rejected many times. I had to work for it, that’s why it has taken me three years to get here. Had I been a product of nepotism, I would have been out there much earlier,” the budding actor says.

Talking about his co-star, Saif, with whom he has many intense scenes in the film, Rohan adds, “I thought it would be intimidating to work with someone like Saif. But you go on set, and he makes you feel so comfortable. He has a huge persona, but he isn’t intimidating at all.”
