This special guest visited Deepika Padukone on 'Padmavati' set!
Deepika was shooting for Rajasthani 'ghoomer' style song when the guest paid her a surprise visit.
Mumbai: Deepika started shooting for her Rajasthan-inspired folk song in ‘Padmavati’ this Wednesday at Mehboob studios. In the film, Padukone plays the titular character and Ranveer Singh will be seen as the tyrant ruler Alauddin Khilji. ‘Haider’ star Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Deepika’s husband Raja Ratan Singh.
The film’s shooting started last week with Ranveer Singh. While Ranveer and Deepika have begun shooting their parts, Shahid is yet to visit the sets of ‘Padmavati’. The actor, too, begins shooting after a couple of weeks.
So, while promoting ‘Dear Zindagi’, SRK and Alia Bhatt decided to drop by to wish the ‘Bajirao Mastaani’ star luck for her new project.
A source from the film unit told news agency PTI, "We have started shooting for a song. It's a folk song, a Rajasthani song. The set is huge and it's grand. The song features only Deepika Padukone."
Bhansali, who is known for erecting grand sets on his films, has made no exception this time. Just like his other projects, high security and no camera on set are strict rules in Bhansali’s world.
