Deepika to work with Karan Johar post marriage
While Deepika has been a part of a Karan Johar production in Yeh Jawani hai Deewani, this is the first time she will be directed by Johar.
While her real-life honeymoon can go on for some time, her honeymoon away from the camera is soon going to be over. Deepika Padukone, apparently the highest paid female actor among the current names, is all set to return to acting with two major projects.
While the first is a biopic on the acid-attack victim Laxmi to be directed by Meghna Gulzar, it is now revealed that Deepika is also planning to work with Karan Johar for the first time.

A well-informed source reveals some details about the upcoming collab, “Karan Johar and Deepika have brainstormed over various ideas and have actually zeroed in on a few subjects. They just need to pick one subject. The one thing that they are certain about is that they are indeed working together next year. She has only said yes to two projects after marriage, one of Meghna Gulzar and of Karan Johar.”
The Karan-Deepika alliance is expected to be a game-changer on several counts. Not only because Deepika would step into a Dharma Production for the first time, but also because Johar seems to work with the same set of actors (Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra) repeatedly. Among the A-list actresses he has so far never worked with Katrina Kaif (barring the Chikni Chameli item song in Agneepath) and Deepika.
