Irrfan Khan heads to London for treatment

Contrary to most media reports, Irrfan Khan has headed to London and not the US, for the treatment of his health condition. He left the city on Sunday morning.

An Indian doctor in London, who has researched extensively on neuro-endocrine tumours, will apparently be looking into the actor’s complete treatment.

Says a friend of the actor, “The doctor has closely examined Irrfan’s case, and has assured his family and him that there’s no immediate danger to his life, and that his condition is completely curable. Irrfan and his wife have agreed to let the doctor take charge of his treatment.”

There were plans to go to US earlier, but with a more comprehensive and dependable line of treatment obtainable in London, Irrfan will be in the English capital for the next few months, we are told.

Here’s hoping he returns for a second innings in Bollywood, completely cured.
