Fake news of the year: Salman Khan walks out of Dhoom 4
The fact that there's no such film in the pipeline hasn't deterred people from floating ludicrous rumours about it.
The Dhoom series has been one of Yash Raj Films’ most successful franchises to date. And after three successful instalments, everyone’s eager to know what else is in store. But here’s the thing: there’s no Dhoom 4 in sight. The director who’s allegedly making the film, is currently busy working on another project.
But that hasn’t stopped people from floating reports about it. In this fictional version of Dhoom 4, not only has Salman Khan been roped in to play the villain, but he’s also walked out of the project because of his unwillingness to share screen space with Abhishek Bachchan.
A source from Yash Raj Films can’t stop laughing at the sheer ludicrousness of these rumours.
“Firstly, there is no Dhoom 4. It hasn’t even been decided if Vijay Krishna Acharya will direct the fourth Dhoom film. He is currently immersed in making Thugs Of Hindostan. Secondly, where does the question of Salman walking out of Dhoom 4 arise when he hasn’t walked into the project in the first place?” the source says, in between bouts of hysterical laughter.
Incidentally, even the story that Salman would walk out of any film starring Abhishek Bachchan is bogus as the two are quite fond of one another.
