Shah Rukh Khan paves way for Atlee collab
The actor has finally given dates to the director for his next action-fuelled outing.
After the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK), was seen celebrating his birthday with South director Atlee, the rumour-mill went on an overdrive, suggesting that the actor-director duo is planning a film together.
Not only has this rumour proven true, but major development has also taken place, as grapevine suggests that SRK has finally allotted dates for Atlee’s film which he had greenlighted a while ago.
“The buzz in the trade is that he has given his dates in the month of March, and his production team Red Chillies Entertainment will start pre-production once the nitty-gritty of the film — requirements for VFX and finalisation of the shoot locations and casting — are broken down on paper,” says a trade source.
This update comes as a respite for SRK fans as they didn’t see any outing from the actor this year. Talking about how Atlee’s project will serve as SRK’s comeback, the trade source further elaborates: “It is a film with a dose of action and that’s what SRK has decided would be his comeback film after the debacle of Zero. It is tough for an actor and that too a superstar to be under the scanner, and SRK will make sure that this one is a zero-error project.” Now, we need to hear this from the horse’s mouth!
The Don actor will also be seen in a cameo in the much-anticipated film Brahmastra, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan in principal roles.
